How To Clean Your Devices

Cleaning the devices in your classroom is simpler than you’d think. The most important thing to remember is you don’t want ANY liquid to get inside a laptop or keyboard and NEVER use cleanercleaning products on a screen.
  1. If it is a laptop, first turn it off and unplug it.
  2. Cleaning liquid can be anything (never put it on a screen). Alcohol or bleach wipes, bleach and water, Isopropyl alcohol, etc. Basically, whatever you have on hand.
  3. Soak or spray a sponge or cloth with the cleaning liquid.
  4. Wring out the sponge/cloth until it’s dry.
  5. Gently wipe down the laptop’s case, keyboard, and touchpad. Remember to not get any of the cleaning liquid on the screen, but cleaning the bevel around it is fine.
To wash the screen (including iPads)
  1. Warm water is usually all we use, but you can prepare a solution that is one part dishwashing detergent with five parts water.
  2. Use a soft cloth and dampen it with the solution.
  3. Wring it out so there is no dripping.
  4. Wipe the screen down gently, ensuring you don’t scratch it.
  5. Follow with a dry, lint free cloth.
