Using Your School iPad after Graduation

Reminder: Student accounts are disabled after you graduate in December. You will lose access to your email and any files or content you have in your NPS Google Account. Google does allow students to copy content, including emails, from a school account to a personal one. For more information, please refer to the following wiki page: Transferring Content From Your School Account

There are 3 major options in using your school leased iPad after graduate.

1. You can leave you iPad as is after it is release from Jamf. It will function as you are accustomed to with the exception of a few applications being removed(list applications)

What Happens When we release an iPad from Jamf (List applications that may change in function or be removed)

2. You can return settings to their defaults without erasing your content. If you want to save your settings, back up iPad before returning them to their defaults. For example, if you’re trying to solve a problem but returning settings to their defaults doesn’t help, you might want to restore your previous settings from a backup. 3. You can Wipe(Erase) the iPad. When you do this it permanently removes all of your content and settings from your iPad For example, erase iPad before you sell it, trade it in, or give it away.
